Spring Break...
Day Five
Today, Mariah demanded a photo adventure! So, during a lovely breakfast at Five Forks Cafe, she, Aubrey, and I tried to come up with an idea that would accomplish that task. After a bit of deliberating on the merit of scavenger hunts, we came to the conclusion that we would ask someone to give us a list of five famous paintings that we would then attempt to re-create.
As soon as we got back to my house, I asked my dad. And he gave us the following list:
1. Portrait of George Washington by Gilbert Stuart
2. Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth
3. Mandolin, Fruit Bowl, and Plaster Arm by Pablo Picasso
4. Nighthawks by Edward Hopper
5. Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh
Despite the difficulty of this assignment, (we didn't even get to Starry Night!)
we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we did our best to re-create the sentiment behind each of these works. Here's what we came up with...
